Meredith Salenger, born March 14, 1970, in Malibu California United States is one of Hollywood's most famous and wealthiest actresses. After Mercury Records president David Massey saw the demos of Decker, he sent the songs on to L.A. Reid head of the associated Island/Def Jam label group and Reid has signed her to a record deal. Then, in August of 2009 Decker made her debut self-titled album under the name Jessie James. Jessie James achieved a reasonable level of success, with Wanted being able to make it into at the Top 40 charts. Although Decker has always believed she was as a singer from the country genre, the album was made and promoted using a popular audience in the back of her mind. Decker was adamant with the label to get greater control over her music after two of her singles did not succeed. The album she released next, Boys in the Summer was a more traditional album. Decker released her second album with two titles: Sweet American Dreams or Daughter of a Gypsy. Mercury put it on hold after the first three singles did poorly in the charts for country music. Decker then was let out of the contract.
